Cause Mr. Adam doesn't seem keen on replying, I've started a second attempt here:

FROM MR.MARK ZEE
The Director of credit and foreign payment (CFP)
Standard Trust Bank Plc,
Email:markzeeone@tlen.pl
Tel:2348-022-623-025

Dear Friend,

I am Mr.Mark Zee a british burn citizen the Director of credit and foreign payment of the Standard Trust Bank Plc (Standard Trust Bank Plc).I am writing in respect of a foreign customer of my bank with account number 14-255-2004/EB/T who perished in the Kenyan air-crash with the whole passenger aboard. Since the demise of this our customer, I personally have watched with keen interest to see the next-of-kin who will come to claim his funds of $6.2 Million dollars which has been in my bank for a very long time;however nobody has shown up, hence this letter to you.

On this note,I approach you to submit your particulars through me as the next-of-kin so that with my contact in the bank I can process it and the money will leave to any account you will provide. The banking regulations here do not allow such money to stay more than 4 years after this period of time, the bank would usually recall the money to the treasurer. In view of this, I will give you 30% of the total sum after a successful conclusion of the ransaction.

Any expenses incurred by both parties in course of this
transaction shall be refunded from 5% set aside for this purpose.
I shall need the following from you:
1.Your private telephone and fax numbers for easy communication.
2.A copy of your Photograph for the applications in the bank.
Finally be informed that the entire transaction is risk-free.
Upon the receipt of the above requirements, we hope to be through with the transaction in 14 working days.Besides,I guarantee that this will be executed under a legitimate arrangement that will protect you and myself from any breach of the law.

I hope you will welcome this lifetime opportunity, if so please get back to me in confirmation of your good interest through my e-mail:(email:markzeeone@tlen.pl)to enable us discuss further. Thanks in anticipation of your kind co-operation

Best regards,
Mr.Mark Zee

--- My first reply ---

Good day Mr. Zee,

I read your e-mail with much interest, and would be very interested in helping our an innocent party. However, before I provide you with my details, I would like to request some more information from yourself.

What precisely would be involved of me in this transaction, and how long do you anticipate it taking? Secondly, what would prohibit me from keeping the whole total of the money in question? Finally, when you say that the transcation is entirely risk-free, are you guaranteeing that there are no risks whatsoever, or just that you don't believe there are any risks?

Many thanks, and I hope to hear from you swiftly,

Mr. Steven Kerr

He took a while, but Mr. Zee eventually replied. Coincidentally (Wow, what a world for coincidences), Mr. Zee's deceased person has the same name as I do (well, not really... but yeah, spooky).

-- Reply of Idiot --

Dear Steven Kerr,

How are you today?

Thanks for your mail. My client Engr. Peter Kerr died and left his fund with our bank here unclaimed and I want you to be the next of kin/beneficiary to receive the fund in your account for our personal use and investments in your country. There are no risks whatsoever in this transaction.

You will get 30% of the US$ 6.2 Million, which is the sum of (US$1,860,000.00) and I will get 65%, while 5% will be set aside to reimburse any expenses we may incure during the process of transferring the fund to the account you will nominate.

Kindly try your best possible to email me with your details like I requested earlier such as; your full names, contact home or office address, age, occupation and position, phone and fax numbers, passport or drivers license photo page including your bank account particulars where the fund will be transfer.

Call me on receipt of this mail for more directives.

Your sincerely,

Mr.Mark Zee

Anyway, Mr. Zee sent me an "Urgent Reminder" (a duplicate of the text above). Time for a 'bite me' e-mail. Here it is folks:

-- I love doing this, oh yeah ---

Hello Mr. Zee,

I'm quite well actually. In fact, I'm so well I could explain to you the very legal reasons why this process you propose is, of course, illegal. If I were up to it, I could go into the reasons why this scheme is a poorly-orchestrated scam and would, if I allowed you access to my details, eventually ending in my losing a substantial sum of money.

Unfortunately for you, the following things are true:
1. I don't have any money which I stand to lose, seeing as I'm not a wealthy, gullible fool who you can hope to sucker into this ridiculously foolhardy scheme.
2. I'm not an idiot
3. I will forward your phone number along with this correspondence should I hear from you again

In closing, bite my shiny metal spam-hating ass.

The Spam-Hater Formerly Known as Steven Kerr
